_Here's the funnest one ladies and gentleman. This is a project centered around the topic I love the most. Drumroll please...the noble spud. The lovable potato. The one and only solanum tuberosum- or edible tuber if you aren't into scientific names. This project will focus on the best way to deliver potato uses and recipes to the consumer.
RESEARCH AND DESCRIPTION (USER STORY)
_The app will allow the user to: 1) search for a specific type of potato dish (i.e. mashed potatoes or french fries) and 2) find all of the locations near them serving that dish. It will also 3) share a map to easily find the location as well as 4) photographs of the dish and a 5) scale to show pricing. Users can also 6) post reviews of the locations potato dish and rate its overall quality.
_I have looked around and have not found this exact app elsewhere. I will take aspects from apps like Yelp and food.com for my app. The main difference is that mine will be hyperspecific and only include potato dishes.
_Users wanted a back button and a way to go straight back to the home screen so that they could search by different parameters. They also wanted to be able to look at other types of potato dishes that a restaurant had after searching by specific potato dish. The beginning screens were also not quite clear so I tried to add some additional instruction while keeping the fun, informal language I introduced.
THE LOOK. THE STYLE. THE LEGEND.
_I wanted to create a clean style that fit the feel of the app but was still simple enough for easy user navigation. It had to include phtos of the potato dishes as well as maps and lots of different elements that were clickable so I didn't want to muddle the interface too much but when it comes to spuds, the last thing it should be is boring. The following images showcase the look I ended up with.
